All 400+ U.S. National Park Service Sites Listed

List last updated on 9/29/26, at this time there are 433 individual sites
The most frequent question we get on our social media handles (Facebook and Instagram) is something like...
"Aren't there [pick a number] National Parks?"
The second most common question we get is...
"Isn't [fill in the blank with an NPS site] a National Park?"
To be fair, we forget sometimes too. There are a lot of NPS sites (and that's a good thing).
For that reason we decided to list all of the 400+ NPS sites by category. Since this list can grow with a brand new NPS site (keep 'em coming) or shift when an existing site gets a promotion (like New River Gorge did in late 2020), I'll do my best to double check the accuracy every so often.
And if you don't believe that this list is accurate, you can always head over to the ultimate source of truth -- the NPS site
Pro Tip: Use CTRL+F or COMMAND+F to search for a specific site on this post.
So without further ado, here are all the National Park Service sites by category. Starting with our favorite 63...

Glacier NP, Acadia, Yellowstone, and Grand Canyon
We just went to Zion, Bryce, Capital Reef, The Arches and canyon Land the first week of November. It was snowing when we were at Zion and the ground was covered with snow at Bryce Canyon. It was the best vacation ever! Beautiful!!
The goal is to visit Glacier next year. We had to postpone our Montana trip this year.
I have been to all the parks you are planning to see with Big Bend my favorite. Been twice. You have a great trip planned. We are planning on the Utah Parks Canyonland, Arches and more.
A lot of you have commented on the Facebook post. I love reading everyone’s park plans for next year :) Inspiring! Check out the growing list of comments here: https://www.facebook.com/howdyrangers/posts/3414986681916480
